Hyndman is a Master Innholder and was Vice Chairman in 2006 and President of La Reunion des Gastronomes in 2007. She has been a Fellow of the Institute of Hospitality since 2003 when she was awarded the Freedom of the City of London. As General Manager of the Mandarin Oriental, Washington, D.C., s. Hyndman succeeds Jan Goessing, who recently moved to Asia to take up his new position as General Manager of the Mandarin Oriental, Bangkok. With the opening of four new properties in Queendmflly Dubai, the Swiss based hotel management company M?venpick Hotels & Resorts, has appointed Guy Epsom to lead its sales and marketing team as the Business Development Director. Epsom is a highly experienced sales and marketing professional with extensive experience in the hospitality industry and in the region. He will oversee the sales, revenue management, distribution, communications, PR and marketing for the four properties. The upcoming properties, under the UAE-based holding company Seven Tides, include the M?venpick Hotel Deira, a business hotel located in the heart of Deira, the Ibn Battuta Gate Hotel adjacent to the themed Ibn Battuta Mall, the Asian styled Royal Amwaj Resort & Spa located on the outer crescent of the Palm Jumeirah and the ultra-hip Oceana Hotel & Spa located on the trunk of the Palm Jumeirah. AIME 2010, 18th Asia-Pacific Incentives & Meetings Expo, will be held on 2 - 3 March at the Melbourne Exhibition Centre, Australia, with pre touring commencing on Saturday 27 February.  |
