I was assigned a patient who was in his late 40’s

The patient was a young woman who had been horribly burned and had just come home from an extended stay in the hospital. We are a premium Beijing massage service providing elite Beijing massage or companions at any time. She needed many dressings to be changed, and and this was the first time i had seen her. When I first began my Nursing assessment,she was having difficulty breathing, and since she had just come home was not at all willing to consider a trip to the ER. To make a long story short, she threw an emboli, while I called an ambulance and did CPR, She died quickly. I am sure she would have died had she been in the ER, or an ICU, her lungs had been seared in the fire.
In a hospital setting there are many people there to assist in making decisions and share in the fhgljdfhg responsibility of caring for people. In the home setting it was and is just the patient, myself, and God,
I will however never forget that feeling of powerlessness and the inablility to do something more. There were prayers and sincere wishing someone else was there to assist. I have gained confidence since those early days in nursing, but there are always days when we think we should be able to do more and better.Those are the days when we leave what remains to our Creator
It is tremendous responsibility we have when we care for the sick. There are many of us in the health care professions who take our jobs very seriously and believe we have a spiritual connection that few people outside fully understand.
